Sunshine continues

Now in the sixth week of our Spanish Hibernation and time is zipping by. In a couple of days we are returning first to Galway and then Reading for a catch up with family and friends. Really looking forward to this, even though I understand I need to forget the blue skies and sunshine we are currently enjoying here in Malaga!!

Have settled into a nice routine here – lessons with Toni two days a week, gym another two days and a long lazy stroll around this beautiful city on the other weekday. The weekends, when Paul finishes work, we are already in a great location to enjoy not just Malaga but other parts of Spain. That said, the first half of this trip has gone in the blink of an eye and there’s so much more we want to see and do.

Even on the days I am learning Spanish or training at gym, I find time to relax with a coffee at one of my growing list of favourite coffee shops. This is usually followed by a stop off for bread at our local Dia supermarket. Every possible space in this relatively small shop is used to fit in the essentials and the not-so essentials. Malaguenos are very friendly and lovely as a rule – the two exceptions being when they’re behind the wheel of a car or trying to negotiate the tight aisles in the supermercado!!

As the tutor is currently on holiday, I have found time for a stroll along the beach to get some more sunshine and rue the fact I have no gloves or scarf to pack for next week.
