Hi I’m Ian Bresman – thank you for taking the time to drop into my page. When I turned sixty a couple of years ago and having recently retired from a career chiefly in media sales, it felt like a great time to take a break from the frosty UK winter. My husband, Paul and I had talked so much about buying a small place in Malaga, that we had almost lost sight of the fact we had never really lived there. So we decided to give it a go, Airbnb style, before making any decisions about jumping on the Spanish Property Ladder. That was in 2023 and now we are packing our bags in readiness for a third winter hibernation in our favourite Spanish city.

For my own use and enjoyment, I decided to keep a journal for the whole experience. This grew into a blog, which I posted throughout our first two stays. As we head back to stay in an apartment closer to the coast this time, please do join me for my new blog updates as we make our final preparations to begin our hibernation in El Palo.
